Display English Date Format, not Local Language

By default, OnePager uses your Windows system language to define the date and time formats on your time axis. So, if you are running Windows in German, your date formats will be in German instead of English. This article will show you how to switch your time axis format to English, even if you are running Windows in a different language.

Local vs. English Month Format

In this example, Windows is running in German, so the months displayed on the time axis default to German language:

To switch from German to English, even though Windows is in German, go to Home > Chart Properties > Time Axis and click on the level of the time axis that contains your monthly units. In this example, this is on the Bottom Level:

Click on the Label Format dropdown. Notice that the current selection is "bbbb (Juni)". We can switch to English by selecting "BBBB (June)" instead. Here is the result:

Notice that OnePager supports multiple month formats both in your local language and in English. In general, English-language month formats will have an uppercase "B". For example, "BBBB" translates to "June" while "BBB" translates to "Jun". Meanwhile, local language month formats will have a lowercase "b". For example "bbbb" translates to "Juni", while "bbb" translates to "Jun", which happens to be the same as English, but with this format you will notice that the month of March displays using the German abbreviation of "Mrz" instead of the English abbreviation of "Mar".

Local vs. English Weekday Format

Continuing with our example of Windows running in German, here is a OnePager time axis with all of the days of the week displaying in German:

To switch from the local language (German) to English, go to Home > Chart Properties > Time Axis and click on the level of the time axis that contains your daily units. In this example, this is on the Bottom Level:

Click on the Label Format dropdown. Notice that the current selection is "aaaa (Freitag)". We can switch to English by selecting "AAAA (Friday)" instead. Here is the result:

Notice that OnePager supports multiple weekday formats both in your local language and in English. In general, English-language month formats will have an uppercase "A". For example, "AAAA" translates to "Friday" while "AAA" translates to "Fri". Meanwhile, local language month formats will have a lowercase "a". For example "aaaa" translates to "Freitag", while "aaa" translates to "Fr", which is similar to the English-language abbreviation. However, if you were to select this format, you would notice that Wednesday displays using the German abbreviation of "Mi" instead of the English abbreviation of "Wed".
