Importing an Asana project directly into OnePager

1. Begin with your project in Asana in the List view:

   

2. Unless your Asana project is really small, you probably want to pick and choose which tasks to include in your OnePager chart. To do this, in the List view, click on Show Fields and then Manage Custom Fields. If there is already a field called OnePager in your account, turn it on:

   

   If there isn't already a field called OnePager, click on Manage custom fields instead, and choose the Add custom field option. From there, go to the Choose from library tab to see if the field is available there. If it isn't, then go to the Create new tab and add a new Single-select field called OnePager that consists of Yes/No values:

   

   When creating a new field for OnePager, we recommend checking the Add to field library box at the bottom. This way, the field will be available for all of your projects without you needing to create it each time.

3. Once the OnePager field is present, place a Yes next to any tasks that you'd like to import from Asana into your OnePager chart:

   

4. Next, launch OnePager Bundle from your desktop. On the start screen, click New.

5. On the import wizard, click on Select > BROWSE Asana...

   

6. If this is your first time using OnePager with Asana, Asana will prompt you to log into your account, using either your username and password, or Google authentication:

   

   If you're on a trusted device and trusted network, you can permit OnePager to save your credentials so that you do not have to sign in again in the future.

7. Once connected, OnePager will display a list of all of the projects in your Asana account. Click on the one that you would like to import, or hold down the Ctrl key while you are selecting if you would like to import multiple projects at once. Click OK once you have finished making your selections.

   

8. Back on the import wizard, give your chart a name, and make sure that you are filtering based on the OnePager custom single-select field from Asana:

   

9. Finally, click the Create New Chart button, and OnePager will complete the import from Asana to create a Gantt chart like this:
