Sometimes after installing OnePager, you will get an annoying warning message saying that it could not complete installation in your account, mentioning "DataDirPerMachine is missing," and suggesting that you reinstall or contact support. Reinstalling rarely helps unless you re-install in the different way described below.
This warning message usually means that Windows Installer has put the OnePager data files into a directory that the user does not have full permission to use. This is caused by desktop security policies that prevent Windows Installer from putting OnePager's data files in the correct place. Putting OnePager data in the wrong place puts that data at some risk, so we strongly recommend that you fix this situation by following these two steps:
- Uninstall OnePager. If you are running OnePager v5.1 or earlier, we recommend backing up your data first.
- Re-install OnePager using a command-line execution of Windows installer. You can download this zip file, containing instructions and a small batch file to make it simple to do a command-line installation.
