Adding a new Milestone to Smartsheet

1. Open an existing Smartsheet project that has some tasks in it. It should look something like you see below.

   

2. In this example, we will insert a milestone between “Task B” and “Task C”. To do this, you must first select “Task C” as you see below.

   

3. Press the Insert key on your keyboard to insert a row:

   

4. After pressing the insert key, you should see a blank row where you can enter the new milestone.

   

5. Enter the milestone information and set the duration to “0 days.” After that, enter the start date. Smartsheet will automatically set the finish date and the start date equal. The reason for this is because the milestone is zero days in duration.
