In a OnePager chart, each snapshot represents a date-specific version of your project. However, some users prefer to use snapshots for scenario planning as opposed to change tracking. Snapshot names make it easier to compare one scenario to another.
Beginning in OnePager v8.0, snapshots can have both a date and a name. You can decide whether your chart should display the snapshot date, snapshot name, or both.
Naming a Snapshot
To give your snapshot a name, go to View > List All. The updated Manage Snapshots form now has a place for both a name and date. You can type any text into the Snapshot Name column. In this example, we've named the first snapshot "Scenario 1" and the second snapshot "Scenario 2"

Displaying the Snapshot Name
By default, most OnePager charts display the snapshot date in the footer, but you can easily modify your header or footer settings to also display the snapshot name. To do this, go to Home > Chart Properties > Headers/Footers. Pick the header or footer location where you would like the snapshot name to display. In this example, we'll keep the snapshot date in the center footer position and add the snapshot name in the right-hand footer position:

This is how the footer looks after applying the change:

Of course, if you are truly using snapshots for scenario planning, you may not care about snapshot dates at all, in which case you can eliminate the snapshot date from the footer, and only display the snapshot name. It's important to note that all snapshots still need to have a date assigned, but if you're not displaying the date, you can really pick any date to satisfy this requirement.
Managing Snapshots
With the improvements to the Manage Snapshots form to accomodate snapshot names, there are a few other changes to keep in mind when working with snapshots.
To change the Snapshot Date, double-click on the date itself, and then choose a new date from the calendar widget that pops up:

To delete one or more snapshots, check the box(es) to the left of the snapshot(s) that you would like to delete, and then click the Delete Snapshot(s) button at the bottom:

There are now buttons to Select All and Deleselect All, which will make deleting multiple snapshots much easier. Just remember that your chart always needs at least one snapshot, so if you select all snapshots, you'll need to de-select at least one of those snapshots before you'll have the option to delete the rest.
To navigate to a different snapshot, check the Display box to the right of the snapshot that you would like to see, and then click OK

Keep in mind that only one snapshot can be active at once, so if you check the box to display one snapshot, the box for your previously-selected snapshot will automatically uncheck.
