Planisware Multi-Phase Project Timeline

Build a timeline in OnePager that shows the major phases of multiple Planisware Enterprise projects.

OnePager will import the major phases from multiple projects in Planisware Enterprise to create a multi-phase project timeline:

If you don't already have OnePager, click the button above to download a free trial. Then, follow these instructions to get started:

  1. In Planisware, we want to build a timeline of these three projects:

  2. We only want to import the major phases for each project. The best way to do this is to insert an attribute called Send to OnePager? into each project. Here is the first project with those summary activiites selected:

  3. You'll also want to select the summary activities from the rest of the projects in your portfolio. Be sure to save each project in Planisware after selecting activities.

  4. Now, launch OnePager using either the desktop icon or Windows Start menu:

  5. On the OnePager start screen, click New to begin building a new timeline from Planisware:

  6. From the import wizard, go to Select > BROWSE Planisware Enterprise:

    If you haven't used OnePager with Planisware previously, you'll need to log into your Planisware Enterprise account.

  7. OnePager will let you select multiple projects to import from Planisware. Hold down the Ctrl key while selecting, and then click OK once you're ready:

  8. Give your timeline a name, and make sure that you have selected the Send to OnePager? attribute as your activity filter, so that only the major phases from each project will display in your timeline:

  9. To finish the import, click Create New Chart.

    OnePager will import the major phases from each project in Planisware, and create a Gantt chart that shows the entire portfolio. Each project from Planisware is grouped into its own swimlane in OnePager:

  10. Initially, OnePager will display your portfolio in a Gantt chart layout. To switch to a timeline, go to Home > Chart Properties > Rows/Swimlanes and choose the Timeline layout, based on the Project Name from Planisware:

  11. Click OK. OnePager will align each Planisware project so that all of its phases appear sequentially in a timeline layout, like this:
